The First Lady wore a pair of grey and pink Lanvin shoes to volunteer at a food bank last week. Critics say the kicks were in poor taste for an anti-poverty event since they cost $540.
It’s not clear whether the shoes were a gift or if Mrs. O actually purchased them.
This isn’t the first time the First Lady has rocked the fancy French label to an event. She also wore a Lanvin shirt to a tree-planting event recently (yeah, random...I'm not wearing my frocks to dig dirt).
So, is the First Lady wrong for wearing something so high-end to a volunteer event or, can she wear whatever she wants? What’s your call? Fabulous Fashion or Fashion Tragedy?
UPDATE: Track the First Lady's fashion choices in this great slideshow.
