The Wall Street Journal reports double digit sales jumps in the sale of salty munchies like popcorn and cheese snacks. Potato chip sales could rise 22% this year as restaurant visits continue to fall.
So what does that mean for your waistline? It means the obesity rate continues to climb!
Here are some tips to keep yourself in shape.
- Plan ahead: map out your meals for the week and stick to it!
- Make a list - check it twice: people who make lists are less inclined to shop impulsively
- Buy in bulk: it could save you 50%, just make sure you have a use for what you buy
- Cook: search online for fast, easy recipes and make them yourself to save money
- Pack your lunch: eat your leftovers for lunch to save money and avoid the vending machine
- Drink water: cut back on sugary drinks, add lime or a little True Lemon to jazz up your H2O
