Black Love is grand...

...And Black love on television is even grander. Happy Valentine's Day one and all. Regardless of your feelings on the day, take a little time to appreciate yourself. If you don't love you, no one else will. Dabnis and I decided to celebrate Valentine's Day by sharing with you our top 5 favorite Black Love moments in television.

5. Hilary says YES! No one loved ole Hilary Banks like Trevor. And she knew it. Even cousin Will couldn't stop her from pre-purchasing her wedding gown. Although the proposal did not turn out as planned, you have to give it to these love birds---forever together---together forever.

4. Brian McKnight Lip Syncs Martin's proposal. It was set up from the beginning. Gina was convinced it was time to let Martin go. Little did she know, an evening in the park would be filled with surprises from a purchasing roses from a "street vendor" to spontaneously buying a ring. When Gina's eyed were closed, Brian serenaded her with Never Felt this Way and Martin appeared on one knee. Grab the kleenex, I feel a tear dropping now!

3. Synclaire and Overton's Wedding. Kyle and Khadijah sang a duet. Maxine professed her love to Kyle and most of all, Overton's parents made it on time. Nothing beats the wedding day of our favorite small town Minnesota Maven and her Cleveland Cavalier! Oh did we mention Regine FINALLY met her ball player---Desmond Howard.

2. The Last Dance. Theo, the dsylexic, Gordon Gartrelle wearing, Justine loving older brother of mine FINALLY graduated from NYU. We didn't think he was going to make it. You saw it in the pilot episode. He just wanted to be regular people. Big Cliff wasn't having that nonsene. And it paid off. Armed with a pyschology degree and an acceptance to graduate school, life in the Huxtable household came full circle. And my parents danced their way off set just to remind us.

1. Whitley Baby I LOVE you; will you have me? Nothing beats a tear jerking good time like the wedding of Dwayne and Whitley. Whitley had the gaul to think she was marrying that old fuddy duddy Byron. Pish tosh. We knew that love wasn't going to last. And when their wedding day rolled around, it was clear to everyone else that Dwayne and Whitley were going to be man and wife. Dwayne pulled the BEST gangsta move of all and stole his woman and married her. ON.THE.SPOT. Needless to say, Patti LaBelle was none to happy. But we all were. Gotta love Muffin and Chipmunk!

Of course there are other love stories on tv to be shared .....this just happens to be what get us giddy!
