Tiger’s Acting Like A Black Athlete Now

A comment made about the Tiger Woods ho trail scandal caused a bit of a stir on Joy Behar's nighttime gig over on CNN's HLN.  During an episode last week, comedienne Karith Foster was part of a discussion about race and the Woods drama when she took a swipe at Black athletes.  Here's what went down:

BEHAR: Ok. Let's discuss the racial angle for a second. I mean, how does this -- Karith, I know you're not a representative of the black community, but since you're here, I'm wondering what you hear from the black community.

FOSTER: Well, I just love how in the beginning of his career, people are saying, the first African-American golfer to be of this stature. He's like, "No, I'm not black. I'm Amerasian."

BEHAR: He's (INAUDIBLE).

FOSTER: Yes. Well, he's certainly acting like a black athlete now.

BEHAR: He's acting like a black athlete?

FOSTER: Yes he is.

BEHAR: That's a little harsh, isn't it?

FOSTER: No. I think he's acting like an athlete, period. But he's certainly acting -- you know, all of the women are white -- I might have a little more sympathy, not much, for someone who has a harem they basically if allegedly, if there might have been a sister in there. But I think it's interesting that it's like he seems to not want to be with anyone who represents who -- he's not even with an Asian woman.

BEHAR: So do you think he should start sleeping with black women to restore his credibility?

FOSTER: No. No, no, no, I'm not saying that.

ROBI LUDWIG, PSYCHOTHERAPIST: I do. It would change the story, wouldn't it?

BEHAR: It would change the story but...

FOSTER: I just think it's very -- it's just very interesting. I mean, I feel so awful for his wife. How embarrassing for her. Now, she`s basically being treated like a prostitute by being offered money to stay.

I do find it a teeeeeeny (ok, well, a lot) ironic that Tiger is cheating on his blond-haired, blue-eyed, what society would call "trophy" white wife with even more white women.  This dude had the munchies for white chicks!

But on to the big race issue: Critics say Foster is lumping all Black athletes in the pot with Cheetah Woods.  Of course, Tiger isn't the first man to cheat and he won't be the last, but must she toss other athletes under the bus with him? And isn't this Black comedienne just perpetuating harmful stereotypes of Black men, particularly Black male athletes?

On her other show this week... Behar called Tiger's alleged mistress Rachel Uchitel a "hooker" during The View's "Hot Topics" segment Thursday. Behar said "Yeah, you-ka-tell she's a hooker." The View has since issued a statement calling the comment a joke and sincerely apologizing for Behar's choice of words.

Now these 5 dolla side chicks are demanding apologies too? My my my, how the jump-off rules have changed.  SMH
