Training Wheels

"When life hands you lemons, make lemonade..." I love that quote because that's exactly what we women do when it comes to men. We take a diamond in the rough, clean 'em up, show them which fork to use and fine tune the swagger. We do this for many reasons 1) cause we're nurturers 2) because we are molding you into the man we'd want to be with. It's just how we think. This plan I find can backfire as it has for me once, twice or forkin fifty times!!! It seems like when we give a dude "the secret", they study hard and the minute their little "training wheels" come off they start start cuttin' up. So I bounce and start with the next prospect. Fast forward a few months or years. You got that dude out your system and you're living your life, who hoo! Then you hear that he's getting married, or wifed up some other chick, or had a baby. Whatever the life change may be it's fab for them but for you, not so much. You can't help but feeling some kind of way. You put in work and got a pink slip instead of a bonus. The optimist in me says "good for you and your cock-eyed lookin' broad and hairy-ass baby. The pessimist is hurt and heated that you pre-gamed with me only to score a touchdown with the next broad. (sorry, I love football) Okay, I get it, I get it, "don't hate the player, hate the game", blah, blah, blah! But am I wrong to feel some kind of way about this? Discuss...

Well, I don't usually go all Biblical...but two people unequally yoked can't walk together. I think that's the problem...you need to look for people who you don't have to "change" to have a relationship with. That makes you more of a parent than a partner and I think it's just a little bit of an ego trip for women to think that they are always the mature ones bringing men up to their level. Look for someone who is on your level and grow together!

Anonymous made a great point. And for real, if a man wants you and you're a good woman you dont really have to put in any work. He will take the lead, make his intentions clear and start a courtship with a goal in mind. its really that simple. Let a man stand up and be one. Enjoy the ride.
