Brew Beauty: Prescriptives To Shut Down

Another one bites the dust...

Run to the sto' and stock up because make-up giant Estée Lauder is closing its Prescriptives brand by January 31st. The company says it will focus on redirecting its resources to other labels with higher growth potential.

If you're like most chicks with melanin, you've probably tried Prescriptives custom-blend foundation at some point. I always liked them, in fact, they were my first foray into "real" make-up. I remember the first time I got "color printed." Teardrop...sniffle, sniffle...a teeny, a teeeny.

But, alas, the flashing lights at MAC lured me away, like Rick James' aura.

So long, Prescriptives.
