Asleep At The Switch?

Now, I admit I can sleep through just about anything... hail storms, fools bustin' caps in the parking lot, Katrina, loud-snorin' mofos. But asleep while flying a plane? C'mon son!

Here's the story:

Investigators are wondering whether two Delta Northwest pilots fell asleep on the job after their San Diego to Minneapolis flight overshot its destination by 150 miles. Air traffic control reported they made contact with the pilots over Denver, then didn't hear from them for another hour and 20 minutes. The pilots were carrying 147 passengers on board the plane. They claim they overshot the landing BY 150 MILES because they were talking shop. The pilots say they were in the midst of a heated argument about airline policies. (*side eye*)

An investigation into the pilots' "story" is underway.
