Blacker Than The Man With No Negro Dialect Who Gets Us Coffee?

What is this, the week to open your mouth wide and insert your foot?  Three Democrats have done just that with the always hot potato topic of race.

In a new book, Nevada Senator Harry Reid referred to President Barack Obama as "light-skinned" with "no Negro dialect" unless he wants one.

In the same book, "Game Change," Former President Bill Clinton -clearly unhappy with Obama's meteoric rise- said to the late Sen. Ted Kennedy, "a few years ago, this guy would have been getting us coffee."

And now, in an Esquire interview, former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich claims he's "blacker" than the Prez.

"It's such a cynical business, and most of the people in the business are full of shit and phonies, but I was real, man — and am real. This guy, he was catapulted in on hope and change, what we hope the guy is. What the fuck? Everything he's saying's on the teleprompter. I'm blacker than Barack Obama. I shined shoes. I grew up in a five-room apartment. My father had a little laundromat in a black community not far from where we lived. I saw it all growing up."

Naturally, Obama is taking it all in stride.  Now, I'm no expert here, but methinks the Democrats need to focus on health care, the economy and proving to the American public why they are the party of change, not rehashing old stereotypes and doing the delicate dance of "oops, I said it, now I'm sorry." #fail Democrats.  #fail of epic proportions!
