"Pants On The Ground" Man Is A Hero!

Who knew? Mr. Pants On The Ground is a civil rights hero!

Turns out, "General" Larry Platt actually has a place in history, beyond being a viral video sensation and a ringtone hit.  Platt was beaten by police in the 1965 "Bloody Sunday" march in Alabama.  He got the nickname "General" by civil rights icon Hosea Williams for his role in the march.

He's now working in Atlanta to protest foreclosures in mostly Black neighborhoods.  His work in the ATL is so well-known that the Georgia legislature has proclaimed September 4, 2001 Larry Platt Day in Atlanta.

I knew that guy was special... in a good way, I mean.
