Pole Dancing Coming To The Olympics?

Skrippas rejoice! There are international federations of pole dancers (who knew?) who hope to make pole dancing an official sport at the Olympics. Ania Przeplasko, the founder of the International Pole Dancing Fitness Association says "There will be a day when the Olympics see pole dancing as a sport. The Olympic community needs to acknowledge the number of people doing pole fitness now. We're shooting for 2012."

British pole dancer KT Coates wants the Olympic committee to launch a pole dancing "test" event in 2012. Coates even drafted a petition, which has 4,000 signatures already.

So, if pole dancing became an Olympic sport, would that make you watch the Olympic games? Methinks that's some TiVo-worthy television for you freaks!
