Brew News: Supermodel Naomi Sims Dies

More sad news from the celeb world: Naomi Sims, one of the first Black women to break into the world of high fashion, has died of cancer. Many dubbed her the first Black supermodel.

Sims modeled in the late '60s, appearing on the covers of Life magazine, Ladies Home Journal, Cosmopolitan and Essence.

Sims went on to start a line of beauty products in 1976. She wrote 5 books on beauty and health.

Sims was just 61.
