Brew News: NJ Councilman/Minister Ruined By Sex Scandal

The men behind a sex scandal that ruined the career of 67 year old Atlantic City Councilman and Baptist minister Eugene Robinson are facing jail time. Robinson was caught driving a prostitute to her motel, then -not long after their arrival- Robinson was gettin' gettin' some head oral sex from the girl. Little did he know, she was hired by his political opponents to lure him into a trap. A camera was hidden in a clock near the bed, recording the whole encounter and the footage was sent to the media.

Robinson testified he thought the sex was consensual and that the money he gave her was to buy a soda. He testified he "was all jammed up with sexual feeling" because he "hadn't had sex since 1989." He thought he was just going to "pet" with the prostitute. Robinson even went back to the hotel after the encounter, hoping the woman was still there. Poor ole pops!

Robinson has been ruined by the incident. He now lives in a nursing home, is on several medications and has missed numerous council meetings in the wake of the scandal. He's stepping down at the end of the year.

Three men are now on trial for conspiracy, criminal coercion and invasion of privacy in the case. Robinson's supporters say he was targeted because he turned against the former Council President who is now facing jail time himself.
