Things Negroes Like...

...but don't necessarily want to admit!

As African Americans we come in many hues...from 'urban' to bougie. Yet, there are a few things that most of us who claim the bougie set have secret passions for but will never admit publicly for fear of losing our Jack & Jill memberships.

First up! Lil Wayne...

Lil Wayne appeals to the Negro's desire to remain hood and gangsta, Miss Katie! Refined Negroes will never admit they like Lil Wayne, but catch them in their cars and you'll find them mouthing the words to Lollipop.


Next... Line dances...
And I don't mean Achy Breaky Heart line dancing. I'm talking the Cha Cha Slide, the Booty Call, the Cupid Shuffle. It's like a secret code that only Black people know. If there's a drumline, Negroes will devise a two-step and a shuffle in a heartbeat. See what I mean...


And lastly... Reality TV!
Negroes love to watch other people's lives disintegrate on TV. We'll shake our heads at coonish shows like 'I Love New York' or 'Real Chance At Love,' yet we know all the nicknames of the 'characters' and have secretly picked out what our names would be if we were ever on such shows (not that we'd ever be caught dead P-poppin' for Ray J). Ahem, my name would be Hipz!
