So Long, King of Pop

Finally, the King of Pop will be laid to rest today, some 70 days after his death.

(That must be some powerful formaldehyde).

Michael Jackson's estate will pay the cost of today's funeral. Jackson will be laid to rest like a pharaoh, with statues, decorations and stained glass windows. He'll be in good company for the afterlife, too. Nat King Cole, Walt Disney and Clark Gable are also buried at the Forest Lawn cemetery in California.

Police shut down several roads in advance of the funeral to prevent fans and onlookers from interrupting today's private ceremony.

The Rev. Al Sharpton will be in attendance (figures) and Gladys Knight will reportedly sing at the grave site.

Finally, we can say rest in peace to the King!
