It's Official: Erykah Badu To Be Charged For Nude Vid

Erykah Badu will be charged for her nude video shoot in Dallas. Police plan to send her ticket in the coming days, charging her for a Class C misdemeanor, which could cost her $500 in fines.

Police actually held a news conference to announce it. A police official says Badu acted with "disregard to individuals nearby" during the video for “Window Seat” where she stripped naked.

The charges are based on a single complaint the police received from 32 year old Ida Espinosa, of Vernon, TX. Espinosa claimed she and her mother were witnesses during the video shoot and they were “disgusted” by what they saw.
Police say it was unlikely they would have filed charges, had a claim not been filed.

Badu’s reaction to the charge: “Are you watching, America” (which she released via her Twitter page).

Hmmm... this Espinosa chick is thirsty huh?
