Watch Out For The Big Girl

Jem got moist after reading this...sadly, it doesn't take much to get me off! Oh...on to the news: Forever 21 is debuting a PLUS SIZE line this May. Now, Jem's not a Lane Bryant shopper, per se (Fawnda loves that word) but the hips do put her a tad out of the range of Forever 21. And I kind of fancy the random hodgepodge of funky accessories, club gear and trendy frocks that Forever 21 offers.

The Chicago Tribune reports:

It will be available online at forever21.com and at some of the chain's new or mall locations.

Many fashion observers complain that plus-size women are often ignored.

"Sixty-plus percent of all American women 18 or older are wearing a size 12-plus..."

The Forever 21 plus-size line, called Faith 21, will feature items similar to other Forever 21 clothing, including flirty dresses, trendy tops, skirts, jeans and basics such as T-shirts, camisoles, tanks and leggings. The target customer is age 15 to 29. Junior plus sizes include XL, 1X and 2X. Prices will range from $3.80 to $29.80.

Alas, my recession budget is screaming "hallelujah," and it's just in time for Jem's birthday month. Holla!
