Brew News: Sonia, You Got Some Splainin' To Do

Oklahoma Senator Tom Coburn may have stuck his whole foot, kneecap, tibia and fibula in his mouth today. During the Senate hearings for Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor, Coburn asked whether Americans have a right to self-defense. Sotomayor used a hypothetical scenario: "If I go home, get a gun, and shoot you, that might not be legal under New York law." After a few chuckles, she added, "I'd be in trouble."

Then, Coburn says "You'd have a lot of splainin' to do."

It may have been a joky joke on his part, but since Sotomayor may be the first Latina on the High Court, it was not a good look for Coburn. See for yourself!
