WTF Files: President Obama's Education Speech

I'm confused. We endured eight years with an Administration who didn't give a two food stamps about equal and fair education for the nation's student population except for that afterthought that was the No Child Left Behind Act which fizzled faster than a Bad Boy record contract. Fast forward to 2009. President Obama wants to address students with a speech of encouragement about staying school and some parents have a problem with that? Really? The 18 minute speech will be posted on the White House website on Monday and broadcast in schools Tuesday. One conservative parent told TV station KMGH Colorado said, "I'm an American. They are Americans and I don't feel that's OK. I feel very scared to be in this country with our leadership right now." Why is it when conservatives don't agree with something they a) have to point out that they're more "American" then the next person and b) throw words like "afraid" or "fearful" to incite more fear? People please, it's not like President Obama is telling your child to quit school to smoke crack or meth if you're a "real American". I'm "fearful" that the number of ignant mofos outweighs those of us with common sense right now.
