NBC Chef Says: You Know Damn Well, You Want The Chicken!

NBC Chef Wants People to Relax, Eat
Leslie Calhoun, whose Black History Month menu featured collard greens, fried chicken, and black-eyed peas, found herself the unwitting target of righteous outrage after Questlove posted a shot of the menu on his Twitter page. As the Post reports, Calhoun, who's worked at NBC for eight years and has long wanted to do a special Black History Month menu, was surprised that NBC employees decided it was racist, after, of course, asking black people dining in the cafeteria if it was racist, which, Calhoun said, "they said...it wasn't."

Will You Watch?: VH1’s “Rock Docs: Soul Train”

It sho’ must be Black History Month, cuz my people are all over the teevay these days. I’ve seen more Black people on my 42 inch in 2 days than I’ve seen since November.
Anywho, VH1 is putting some souuuuulllllll in its programming. This Saturday, the network will profile the “hippest trip in America” when it looks back on Soul Train’s more than 35 year run. Musicians, comedians and actors will reflect on what the show meant to their careers and pop culture in general.

VH1’s “Rock Docs: Soul Train: The Hippest Trip in America” airs Saturday, February 6th at 9:30 pm (ET).

Will you watch?

And more importantly, how long will Don Cornelius talk?
