Things Negroes Like: Kitchen Edition

It's Tuesday snitches!  You know what that means.  Time for Things Negroes Like... run it:

Crisco

Believe it or not, you can still find this in Black homes, used on everything from pies to cobblers.  But did you know Crisco has some non-cooking uses?  If your momma still has this stuff, please put her on to some knowledge.  Crisco can be used remove ink and grease and to prevent diaper rash.  Let's keep this stuff out of our food though.

Wesson Oil

Much like the Crisco bandit, Wesson Oil is a staple in that cabinet over the stove.  We dump our catfish in it and, of course, we use it to fry dat chicken, you hear me.  Wesson has stepped up its game as more people are embracing Fawnda's workout plan.  Let's upgrade our kitchens and get some EVOO up in there.

Empty Coffee Cans

If you're using Crisco and Wesson Oil, chances are you need a place to dump all that grimy grease.  Enter the empty coffee can!  My Grandmother kept a Maxwell House can next to the stove on the regular.  That sucka carried everything from bacon drippings to chicken grease. We never did tell her how much of a fire hazard that joker was sitting so close to the stove.

Hot Sauce

If there isn't a bottle of this in your house, it's time to turn in your Black card.  Your membership has been denied.  Black people put this sh!t on everything!

Dammit, now I'm hungry.
Until next week...
Peace.
