Tough Love

I’ve been wasting my life away watching that corny Ray J show when I should have been watching VH1’s “Tough Love.” Ladies, let me tell you, this thing right here is the truth!

Here’s the premise of the show:
Matchmaker Steve Ward conducts a “how to find true love” boot camp with a group of women from various backgrounds. There’s the typical gold digger, the over-sexed former stripper and the workaholic. The boot camp puts these women through challenges and various types of dating scenarios to teach them successful dating habits. Throughout the shows, Ward hits them with his “Rules of Love” and tough talk that had me reliving some not-so-bright moments in my past. Message!

Drew Barrymore’s production company is producing the reality show and you can tell a woman is driving this vehicle. There are no classless nicknames like “Cocktail,” “Myamme” or “Prancer.” There is no champagne or dookie rope necklace elimination at the end of each show. This is a learning process. These women use their real names and have serious breakthroughs in what Ward calls his “group therapy” sessions. Hell, I’m not even on the show and I’ve already discovered that I’ve run away from the men who’ve really liked me and chased after the ones who like me but don’t put in much effort. Thanks for the free therapy Steve!
