Brew Poll: Once a Whore Always A Whore???

Karrine Steffans sat for this interview to discuss her new book "The Vixen Manual". I'm torn a bit, I'm not a Karrine cheerleader but these 2 pretty much ripped her a new one from "hello". I believe in respect for people, respect does not require that you share the same morals or beliefs as the next person. They gave her none. I mean like it or not she is a best selling author and when she asked if they even read her book before having her appear they said "I mean we skimmed through it". So how on earth are you on attack mode when you really didn't even read the book??? Assumptions are fine for me to make as I sit behind my desk at work but as a journalist isn't it a part of your professional duty to be up to speed on what is on your plate?

Forget that she was treated unkindly, where the hell was the professionalism here? What's your take on it?

Probably not, because I'm just not that interested in hearing her opinion on the subject. Does that have anything to do with who she previously was? Not at all. Afterall, if she was, as classified, a "high priced hoe", then she probably can slang that Michael Jordan could sink a jumpshot, so why not take advice from a professional??? But I also wouldn't be interviewing or asking questions of an author unless I read the book too. That shows poor journalism. And for the host to say "she danced in videos for a living" was tacky.

They were elitist, racist, unprofessional, and condescending. Karrine came across as very professional and on-point.

She got paid to "kiss and tell"; and that's basically the first thing that we learn not to do when we first start dating. All this raging indignation that she's kicking out.....she doesn't have the right to be that. I understand that she's moved on with her life and is now happily married with children, but she's selling this book off of the fact that she wrote the first one.

She tried to play it off like what she did during her twenties doing all that boning was completely normal and what the average young woman does......given the nature of her first book, that's a stretch. That said, she's deserved more respect than what's she's received when trying to promote this book. There are many people out there that will say that she bought it on herself, but even prostitutes deserve a modicum of respect. I understand her frustration, but maybe she doesn't have a right to be indignant.
