Vibe Magazine's Cover Boys

Vibe Magazine is back from the depths of bankruptcy hell with a double cover featuring Wheelchair Jimmy and chief of the SlapAHo tribe.  I take it Vibe is really trying to save money with these Photoshopped-lookin' tee shirts.  Can't say I'll be buying this one, but it's good to see a publication rise from the ashes, since so many often don't.

Vibe Magazine Returns

Like a phoenix, Vibe is rising from the ashes...or trying to, at least.  Drake and Chris Brown are scheduled to grace the covers of the magazine's return issue next month.  We told you back in June about Vibe closing its pages.  But, after the folding, both Vibe and Vibe.com were snatched up by InterMedia Partners and Uptown Media Group.

The revamped Vibe will feature a covre with Chris and another with Drake.  The new Vibe will only print 4 issues a year.  The new Vibe launches December 8th.

Vibe does a sexy spread in honor of television sitcom "The Game".  Consider it a late afternoon snack......

Stick a Fork In It

..because Vibe magazine is dunzo! The popular hip hop rag is closing immediately. Vibe staffers were formally notified in a meeting today. Advertisements were down and that whole "robbing Peter to pay Paul" just wasn't a good look anymore. Vibe used to be my joint until it deserted serious indepth pieces, started selling T & A and became a fake King. That leaves The Source as the only magazine focused solely on hip-hop and we know they've got serious issues going on over in that camp. Do people still even read Vibe anymore?
