Networks Don’t Want You To See This Ad

The folks over at ABC and Fox don’t want you to see this ad featuring curvy, thick'ems prancing around in their skivvies.

Retailer Lane Bryant says ABC restricted its airtime and refused to show the commercial during Dancing with the Stars. Fox demanded re-cuts of the ad and only aired it during the last 10 minutes of American Idol, but only after Lane Bryant threatened to pull the plug on its advertising dollars.

BTW, no one seems to have a problem running this new Victoria’s Secret ad…

Hmmmm…double standard much? What’s your call?

Thick’em FAIL!

Picture it. A group of Weight Watchers thick'ems who've been fighting the hard fight, rally to their weekly weigh-in… when all of a sudden… BAM!

In Sweden, a floor collapsed from under a group of about 20 people who'd gathered for a weighing event. The group said the floor gave out, then they smelled sewage throughout the area. Thankfully, no one was injured and they finished their weigh-in in another part of the building.

Weight Watchers said the cause of the collapse is being investigated.

Gabourey Sidibe Covers V Magazine

We told you how V Magazine has caught on to what most of us already knew... thick is the new black!  Well, another reason to buy V Magazine's upcoming "Size Issue"... Precious star Gabourey Sidibe shares a double cover with Dakota Fanning.

The Size Issue features plus sized models and shows a more diverse side of the fashion game. I guess Fanning will be the teeny weeny torch carrier and Gabby will rep for the thickems.

Work it!

Thick Is The New Black...

The good: V magazine is jumping on the Thicky Thick girl bandwagon, Loves it!

The bad: The styling. Why did they style these broads in a collection of Mom Jeans and back roll magnifiers? No one would play themselves like that intentionally!

The Ugly: None, these are some purdy gals!

Brew Fashion: Thick’ems Rock It Better?

V Magazine set out to prove the point that you don't need to be the size of a wire hanger to make an outfit look good (obviously, we already knew that here at the Brew, but sometimes it takes a visual presentation with PowerPoint and a red laser pointer for some folks to "get it").

Models Jacquelyn Jablonski and Crystal Renn were shot in the same looks to show readers that size really doesn't matter.

Now, if we could only get designers to not only make clothing in real women's sizes but actually promote that they make our sizes!

Actually, I think the so-called "plus size" model (Renn) looks even better in the outfits. Girl has thighs for days. Owch girl!
