Brew Bits: Palin Puts Out!

Former Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin reportedly donated $1,700 to Red Cross disaster relief for Haiti and Chile. She recently made the donation in one of those fancy Oscar suites where starts usually load up on free products like fetus creme for their faces. Palin only left with a bottle of perfume. Nice!

Will You Watch?: Sarah Palin on Oprah

The moose-killa from Wasilla will chat with Oprah on November 16th.  It's all to plug Sarah Palin's new book, "Going Rogue: An American Life," which drops the day after the interview.  During the 2008 election, Oprah declined to interview Palin (although Oprah claims the former Alaska governor talked to everyone else but her).

So, will you watch?

Polls Down? "You Betcha"

"Real" America's love affair with the ditzy dame from Wasilla seems to be waning. A new CNN poll Wednesday shows that only 39% of people have a favorable opinion of the former Alaska Governor. That's down 7 points from a poll taken in May. 48% of people now say they view Palin unfavorably. Now I don't give polls much weight, but this is interesting, no? Was it the hokey vocab steeze? The "modern" family arrangement? The creepy but cute husband? The swinger couple vibe? I need answers people!

Breaking Brew: Sarah Palin Steps Down!

Alaska Governor and former Vice President Candidate Sarah "You Betcha" Palin has just announced that she will resign at the end of this month and NOT run for relection. Damn it was just yesty when she was challenging Barack Obama to a race and checking Dave Letterman for doing saying "hood rat stuff" about her daughter. Do you hear that? I think it's ice cracking underneath her GOP size 9's. Developing....

Suuurah Palin to Pres Obama: "Let's Do This!"

LOL! Sarah Palin has officially challenged President Obama to a race. She states:

" I betcha I'd have more endurance," Palin said in an interview published on the magazine's Web site Tuesday. "My one claim to fame in my own little internal running circle is a sub-four marathon. It wasn't necessarily a good running time, but it proves I have the endurance within me to at least gut it out and that is something"

Hmmmm, ok Suuu-rah (DC style). You must didn't see (yes "must didn't see) the Pres kill that fly with one cunning move and perhaps out in Polar Bear land you guys didn't get the memo that African runners have an impecable record as it relates to winning marathons. Oh yeah, that's right Suuu-rah, you forgot about that part huh???

Good Luck! Me and the Russians you can see from your backyard will be rooting for you!

Cornball Corner: Sarah Paln

And just think millions of Amuricans wanted her to help govern the free word? Alaska Governor Sarah Palin delivered a speech in Anchorage on Wednesday. Not big news, that's her job, but in this speech homegirl lifted parts of it from another speech written by Newt Gingrich and Craig Shirley -- without attribution! Say it ain't so Joe! I'm convinced this chick is not the sharpest knife in the drawer. Palin was introducing conservative talk show host Michael Reagan when she told the crowd during her 17 minute diatribe, "First, I think what we're going to learn tonight via Michael is that Ronald Reagan's ideas were the right ideas and all we have to do is look back at his record, his economic record and his national security record to know that his ideas were right." Now here is an excerpt from the Gingrich-Shirley article, "Republicans Need to Relearn Lessons of the Reagan Revolution" which appeared in the Union Leader, November 1, 2005. Gingrich/Shirley: "What should Americans learn from this remarkable man and his remarkable Presidency?...The "right" ideas really matter (the left was wrong and Reagan was right about virtually every major public policy issue and the historic record is clear for those willing to look at it). In the same speech, Palin acknowledged that Gingrich wrote an article about Reagan...but never once said she lifted quotes from it. DUH!!! I'm so done. There are several other lifted quotes in her speech but I'm too tired to type them all. We get it, she's a short bus rider. Reading is fundamental Sarah -- so for this you are the Cornball of the week, weak, weak!! And I lifted that phrase from comedian Huggy Lowdown, by the way..
