Twittervention: Ice T & Aimee Mann

Don't piss off Ice T. He might threaten you with a drive by on Twitter.

Singer/songwriter Aimee Mann (go on and Wikipedia her) was catching up on a Law & Order marathon (you know, it seems that show is always on somewhere), when she tweeted:

Ice T caught wind of it and went on a little Twitter fit:

*FLTG is Ice-T's twitter fam. He calls them the “Final Level Twitter Gang.”

Aimee realized Ice T just might fugg her up, so she apologized.

Ice called off his goons after the apology.

Who has the balls to hate on Law & Order though? Crazy broad.

Good thing Ice didn't send Coco over there to spread a tight jeans yeast infection or something.

Idiots Participate In #ItAintRape Trending Topic

Ok, Twitter is officially da debbil and I'm sticking firm to that.

Where else can pure Brewshyt like tweeting "it ain't rape" take place and people "retweet" that garbage to their friends... especially less than two short weeks after a horrible gang rape case involving a 7 year old girl emerged from New Jersey?

If you were on Twitter early this morning, you may have caught some tweets circulating to the point of becoming a trending topic called #itaintrape. Yea, you read that right. Here's a sampling of the nonsense.

It was eventually removed as a trending topic, but people can still tweet whatever they want, so the comments continue.  Now, I'm usually not the first to holler racism when a "colorful" joke is told and I do occasionally find humor in politically incorrect jokes and the like. But, come on...when is rape ever funny?

The managing editor over at Global Grind also blogged his furor over the Twitter nonsense.  Be sure to hop over there and read his comments.

Man Threatens The President On Twitter

Ok, so I’m returning to my “Twitter is de debbil” theory.  It’s the perfect place for cowards to distribute their sick, twisted ideas if they so choose.

Case in point, micro-blogger Jay Martin (himself, a negrid) who took to his Twitter page on Sunday, in the heat of the health care reform debate going on inside the Capitol, to let the world know he’s "dead f*cking serious" about wishing death upon our President.

Taste The Brew to read this guy’s twisted tweets…

Guru's Surgery A Success

Twitter will kill a brotha with the quickness, won't it?  Last night, the tweets was ablaze with unsubstantiated "RIP Guru" tweets that spread like wildfire through the California hillside.  Miss Info, Q-Tip and Gang Starr's other half DJ Premier all did their homework and sent out tweets that Guru is still with us and was in surgery at the time.  Turns out, the surgery was successful but Guru still needs prayers after suffering a massive heart attack over the weekend.

I still maintain that Twitter is de debbil.

Dumb Twit Case #680023: Toure's "Cousin"

A strange series of tweets from journalist Touré hit the innawebs over the weekend that left a lot of his followers with this look. Here's a sampling of the mysterious tweets:

Later, this tweet went out, blaming the whole thing on a "cousin" (because the "cousin" is always the one who's random, ride or die and down for whatever, right?):

So, Gawker did some "investigating" (and by investigation, I mean, they read the style of Touré's older tweets and compared them to the new, mysterious ones) and pointed out that these tweets looked a lot like his other thoughts. That prompted yet another apology tweet:

Since the random tweets went out, some genious blogger decided to open a hilarious Twitter account called @TouresCousin and that kicked off a Trending Topic hash tag craze blaming #tourescousin for just about everything wrong with the world:
MsDuende:   #TouresCousin does the programming for BET.

creolepimp:   I can hear #tourescousin IRL saying "Don't blame this on me" like Curtis told Deena in the lost Dreamgirls scene.
TheXDexperience:   #TouresCousin is is more relevant than @ToureX

OneOf_TheKids:   #tourescousin is the person behind @uncle_Rukus .

@TheNWord:   #tourescousin told on Tiger Woods.
BIG_SMALLS:   #Tourescousin told Bush that Saddam had wmd

And, trust me, it only gets better from there.  You can click here to keep up with the trending topic.

Touré didn't punk out and delete the original tweets.  But still, I'll bet the real Touré will join me in my belief that Twitter is the debbil.

But this is some funny isht though.

Dumb Twit Case #49981: Kevin Hart?

Kevin Hart is a funny dude.  I happen to enjoy his brand of comedy.  But, it appears he may have gone a bit too far, according to some in Twitter land and the innawebs.

Kevin tweeted a string of comments about light-skinned and dark-skinned Black women yesterday.  He says it was all in the name of comedy.  You make the call.

Here's a clip of his stand up, if you're not familiar...

So, what's your call... offensive tweets or just comedy?

Amanda Bynes Likes Da Chocolate

Am I gon' have to cut this Nickelodeon broad? Actress Amanda Bynes is reportedly dating my Cootie (that's Kid Cudi, for the unlearned).  Bynes tweeted that she has a thing for the Black men (who doesn't... is this news?).  Apparently her tweets got the streets talking so much that she deleted them.

Bynes tweeted:
“It's amazing how good it feels when someone knows how to love your body! I am having withdrawals from a certain guy lol :)…so turns out i prefer chocolate over vanilla…interesting.

Then, when folks got pissed, she responded:
“FYI If any girls are mad that I like “chocolate” they need to seriously get OVER it. sorry you can’t have chocolate for yourself :)…So quit hating on me because I’m VANILLA and I like CHOCOLATE, ok? Because it makes you look like a hater :) thanks so much, bye!!! :)”

Cootie, you got some 'splainin' to do. I will not tolerate cheating...even if the relationship is a figment of my imagination.

Dumb Twit Case #592671: Scott Baio

Scott Baio (@RealScottBaio) is not having Happy Days.  The staunch Republican decided to make a joke about First Lady Michelle Obama.  That "joke" caused the Twittersphere to turn on him.

Baio tweeted this photo, with the caption "WOW He wakes up to this every morning."

Naturally, the joke did not go over well.  His "followers" started sending him death threats.  Then, in typical "I'm not a racist" (but deep down, I probably am) fashion, he tweeted that he's not a racist because his wife's best friend is Black.  Then, he posted a pic of said Black friend.

I give up.  Idiots never cease to amaze me.

And once again, Twitter apparently is the debbil... or the devils lurk there.

The Tweets Is Hot

Could a Twitter beef have been the catalyst for murder?  That seems to be the case in New York last month.  22 year old Jameg Blake (that's him in the sunglasses) is accused of killing 22 year old Kwame Dancy by shooting him with a shotgun to the neck!  Damn.  The case could be the first in which tweets are used as evidence in a murder trial.

According to the NY Daily News, it started as a Twitter beef between childhood friends, then hours before the incident, Dancy tweeted this to Blake.
“N—–s is lookin for u don’t think I won’t give up ya address for a price betta chill asap!” …
The two had a rocky relationship and apparently, the tweets were made worse with friends jumping in to add their two cents... you know how the immature tend to hype stuff up.

Police say the messages may be subpoenaed to prove the theory there was a beef between the two men.  There had been a little history of beef: last summer, the two fought over a girl as well.

The victim's mother is speaking out.  She says “that’s not a reason to shoot somebody, that’s crazy. I don’t know what’s going on with that Twitter thing.”

Twitter is the debbil!
