Snapped: Lessons Men Can Learn

What are women putting in their Wheaties these days? Chicks are snappin’ all over the place and their men are winding up dead. First, Steve McNair’s barely legal mistress goes on a murderous, suicidal rampage, killing him as he slept, then offing herself.

Now, boxing great Arturo Gatti is dead and cops say his wife is looking mighty fishy. The 37 year old former junior welterweight champ was found dead in a Brazilian apartment over the weekend. Police say Gatti’s 23 year old wife Amanda Carine Barbosa Rodrigues used a (wait for it…) purse strap to strangle him. Investigators say the former stripper also stabbed Gatti in the back of the head. Rodrigues’ lawyer says she’s too fragile to kill a boxer. Well, not if you stab him in the head first!

The wife says the two had a fight and Gatti pushed her Friday night but they both returned to the apartment. Rodrigues claims she spent hours inside the vacation home with their one year old son, only realizing Gatti was dead the next day. Hmmm… I’d think I’d know if a dead man was chillin’ in my living room.

So, boys (and girls, I reckon), what can we learn from these tragic cases? First, perhaps it’s not the move to be 36 (as in McNair’s case) or 37 and dating women who are 14-16 years your junior. Aside from eating up all your Skittles and, yeah the bedroom antics, what else are they bringing to the table? What do you even talk about with them? The Jonas Brothers?
