Brew Music: Trina, Lady Gaga, Janet Jackson, Waka Flocka + The Dream

Some jams (or, perhaps not... you make the call) to get your weekend going...

Here’s Trina and Lady Gaga teaming up for “Let Them Hoes Fight.” Gaga is sounding very Gwen Stefani-ish.

Janet Jackson is making her way back on the music/movie scene after one hell of a difficult year. Last month, we previewed her new song from the “Why Did I Get Married Too?” soundtrack. Here’s the official video from the track. It’s called “Nothing” and it’s classic Janet!

I’m still trying to figure out what a Waka Flocka Flame is, but he must be hot somewhere if Diddy is clamoring to be on his track. Peep the video for the “O Let’s Do It” remix, also featuring Rick Ross.

Ok, guilty pleasure confession time. I tend to like The Dream’s songs. There. I. Said. It. This one,”Love King,” is no exception and I don’t even hate Jeezy’s verse (btw, Jeezy dropped the “Young” so update your rolodex).

Favorite line: Got girls with weave/ Girls without it/ She like this all mine/ Hmmmm, I doubt it.

Thank you sir. I’m done!

Brew Bits: Janet Covers Gotham Mag

Damita Jo covers the latest issue of Gotham Magazine, which is ironically, the wedding issue. Janet is killing that Tyra/Top Model deconstructed Barbie pose. Inside the mag, she talks about her upcoming diet/self-esteem book ("True You"), the death of her brother and how she's working to get closer to God. Never too late for that!  White Jesus always has the welcome mat laid out for his peeps.

Janet In "Control" Of Funeral Expenses

Somehow I knew that pricey funeral for MJ got a little boost from the only other Jackson with extra zeros in her bank account.  And I don't mean Rebbie either... her cash flow dried up as soon as they stopped playing Centipede in da club.

Janet Jackson had to front some cash to help the family pay for the funeral.  Little sis signed a contract to pay $103,578.50 for mortuary services and paid $49,372.50 of it up front.

Of course, she got that money back... cuz Janet's pimp hand is quite skrong.

Janet plans to talk about her brother's death with Robin Roberts in an hour-long special on November 18th on ABC. It'll be her first sit-down interview since his death in June.

Brew News: The Case of the 50 Year Old T*ttyBall ReOpens?

What kind of tittyball deprived lunatic is still thinking about this 50 year old tittyball, to bring it BACK on the docket? No one cares, homies! It's five years later...is this like the tittyball case that got away? Is the 50 year old tittyball that haunts you in your dreams: does the 50 year old tittyball, follow you down the alley with a switchblade, causing you to wake up in a tittyball induced panic? Everyone has tittyballs these days, we're a nation of chubbin's...shoot, Rick Ross always has his out and you don't see anyone getting all litigious!

“The evidence in this case strongly suggests that CBS had access to video delay technology at the time of the 2004 Super Bowl,” the commission said Tuesday in a brief to the Third Circuit Appeals Court in the Janet Jackson Super Bowl Reveal case. The FCC asked the court to remand the decision back to the FCC so it could investigate further its assertion that the violation was “willful.”

Oh and ..... tittyball.

Miss Janet will perform her own musical tribute to Michael to open The VMA's this Sunday, Sept. 13.
"While MTV did not provide details on what the King of Pop's sister has in store for audiences, the appearance is intended to honor his storied career.
TMZ reports that 20 backup dancers are rehearsing nearly 15 hours a day to prepare for the tribute. Performer Kryiss Grant, who was also an usher at Jackson's funeral last week, told the Web site "There won't be a dry eye in the house" when the number is through."

Meanwhile in other Jackson news: Jermaine Jackson is hosting his own tribute to his brother in Vienna, where he and Jermajesty will be headlining.
