Brew Quotes: Grace Jones

I think it’s safe to jump out on that limb that Grace Jones is no fan of Lady Gaga’s.

“I really don’t think of her at all. I go about my business."
-Grace Jones’
thoughts about Lady Gaga

“Yes, she did, but I said no. I’d just prefer to work with someone who is more original and someone who is not copying me, actually.”
-Jones’
reaction to Gaga’s offer to collaborate

“Well, you know, I’ve seen some things she’s worn that I’ve worn, and that does kind of piss me off.”
-Jones

Sneak Peek @ Lady Gaga's Tour

Laurieann "Boomkack" Gibson is still working after Making The Band (can't say that for the actual Bands, but Boomkack keeps huh a job.

Anywho, she choreographed for Lady Gaga's tour and one of the dancers uploaded this vid of their "Telephone" routine.  Check it...

Um, was that a little bit of Hammer's "typewriter" I spied? And I'm *dead* at the random dude who walked in front of the camera. He just wanted to be on the teevay.

And click here if you're so inclined to cop a Gaga ticket.

Brew Music: Trina, Lady Gaga, Janet Jackson, Waka Flocka + The Dream

Some jams (or, perhaps not... you make the call) to get your weekend going...

Here’s Trina and Lady Gaga teaming up for “Let Them Hoes Fight.” Gaga is sounding very Gwen Stefani-ish.

Janet Jackson is making her way back on the music/movie scene after one hell of a difficult year. Last month, we previewed her new song from the “Why Did I Get Married Too?” soundtrack. Here’s the official video from the track. It’s called “Nothing” and it’s classic Janet!

I’m still trying to figure out what a Waka Flocka Flame is, but he must be hot somewhere if Diddy is clamoring to be on his track. Peep the video for the “O Let’s Do It” remix, also featuring Rick Ross.

Ok, guilty pleasure confession time. I tend to like The Dream’s songs. There. I. Said. It. This one,”Love King,” is no exception and I don’t even hate Jeezy’s verse (btw, Jeezy dropped the “Young” so update your rolodex).

Favorite line: Got girls with weave/ Girls without it/ She like this all mine/ Hmmmm, I doubt it.

Thank you sir. I’m done!

You likey?

Brew Quotes: Lady Gaga

“I had a boyfriend who told me I’d never succeed, never be nominated for a Grammy, never have a hit song, and that he hoped I’d fail. I said to him, ‘Someday, when we’re not together, you won’t be able to order a cup of coffee at the fucking deli without hearing or seeing me.”

Now THIS Is A Hair Hat

Lady Gaga is the new face of Polaroid. This week, the company announced a multi-year deal with Gaga, who will act as creative director for a specialty line of Polaroid Imaging products.

To mark the momentous occasion, Gaga made an appearance at the Polaroid booth at the 2010 Consumer Electronic Show (CES) in Vegas this morning rocking the illest hair hat of all time.
"I am so proud to announce my new partnership with Polaroid as the creative director and inventor of specialty projects. The Haus of Gaga has been developing prototypes in the vein of fashion/technology/photography innovation--blending the iconic history of Polaroid and instant film with the digital era--and we are excited to collaborate on these ventures with the Polaroid brand. Lifestyle, music, art, fashion: I am so excited to extend myself behind the scenes as a designer, and to as my father puts it--finally, have a real job."
This bish has a "haus?" I love it!

The Polaroid-Gaga partnership hits stores later this year.

Something tells me when you shake the Polaroids, all the pictures come out like this...

Gaga Boots Cudi

I guess Kid Cudi is too "dangerous" for Lady Gaga.  He's been on tour with the Freaky One (and I mean that in the nicest way) for about a month, but after that video surfaced of him punching a fan, the Cudi-Gaga combo is no more.

Cudi's reps released this statement:
"Kid Cudi has decided to take an early leave of absence from Lady Gaga's Monster Ball tour, in order to balance his schedule surrounding the recording of his next album and acting commitments. Cudi does not want to disappoint his fans and will move forward with his individual show dates in December and throughout the month of January."

Leave of absence?  Hmmm.  Around my way, that's the nice way of saying you got fired on yo' day off!

By the way, the fan decided not to press charges.  He just wants to meet Cudi.  (*stan much?*)  From the looks of things, this dude's already met Cudi's knuckles.

Lady Gaga: Can We Talk?

Gaga,

You are one bad bish, honey.  I landed on your Bad Romance video and no bull, I’ve watched it like 4 times…in a row.  It’s a fashion frenzy!  I have to stop, rewind, pause, freeze frame.  It’s just too much for my little mind on a Sunday night.  I have no idea what the video means, aside from you being in an auction or on display for a room of S&M junkies… but who the hell cares.  Have ya’ll seen da shoes?  The razor blade glasses?  The mesh nails?  The floating diamonds?  The bear-skin dress? The McQueen shoes

Look at this ridiculousness…

I give up, Gaga.  You win.

Now, to watch that video again…

Brew Music: Beyonce + Lady Gaga - "Video Phone" (remix)

Will these two hurry up and release the video already?  Damn. I'm beginning to think maybe they're just the same person or some'fin.

Let the no-pants wearing brigade have their video moment already... you know this is going to become a YouTube remake classic.

They could have worked a bit harder to make this sound like more of a "remix"... it sounds the same with Gaga's melodious vocals just dropped in.

I am not impressed much.
