Shaq Wants To Squash Basketball Wives

Shaquille O’Neal is not feeling his ex-wife’s new VH1 reality show, Basketball Wives.

Shaq says Shaunie could be using the show to seek revenge on him, so he wants to legally prevent her from bashing him on the show. Shaq’s lawyer sent a letter to VH1, demanding the network halt production on future episodes of the show which make any references to the basketball star.

Shaq's lawyer claims Shaunie signed a confidentiality agreement during their marriage. If she talks about him on TV, Shaunie could be dragged to court. The second episode of Basketball Wives airs Sunday and it reportedly focuses on the O’Neal’s failed marriage.

Brew Bits: Done Deal For Shaq & Shaunie

Shaquille O'Neal and wife, Shaunie, have reportedly reached a settlement in their divorce. TMZ reports the two reached agreement on all terms of the divorce, including property, custody and support.

Shaunie filed for legal separation in California late last year, but Florida courts will actually have jurisdiction to officially divorce the couple. Florida’s legal system will also handle issues like splitting the property and providing spousal support.

Shaunie’s new show, Basketball Wives, airs on VH1 soon. Wonder if we’ll get a look inside the divorce? Stay tuned...

NBA Ballers Afraid To Dunk?

Shaquille O'Neal dared his fellow ballers to participate in the NBA All-Star dunk contest to raise money for Haiti.  But so far, the suggestion has been a dud.

Tuesday, Shaq said he'd like to see LeBron James, Vince Carter and Kobe Bryant participate in the dunk contest for a large prize, with half of that money going to Haiti.  Carter said no and suggested Dwight Howard do it.  Dwyane Wade –who has already donated $175,000 to the earthquake relief effort– also declined to dunk.  So far, defending dunk champ Nate Robinson, Shannon Brown and Gerald Wallace are dunking.  A fourth player will be determined later.

What gives guys?  Step up to the plate for Haiti.  Ya'll make enough to donate what's in your couch cushions.  I'm sure basketball fans would love to see a classic dunk contest like vintage Jordan and Wilkins.  Or are today's players simply too spoiled?

Brew News: Shaq Pays For Shaniya Davis' Funeral

Shaquille O'Neal is a good dude.  Sure, he may get caught up in some groupie-infidelity-is he or isn't he getting a divorce rumors from time to time, but that man's heart is full of gold.

Shaq footed the bill for the funeral of little Shaniya Davis.  She's the precious little 5 year old North Carolina girl who was kidnapped, raped, murdered and left on the side of the highway like roadkill after being sold into sex slavery, allegedly by her mother.

Shaq said he "wanted her to have a funeral that would be as beautiful as she was."  He was touched by the girl's story after learning of it on HLN's "Nancy Grace."  Shaq is no stranger to good deeds.  He's also a law enforcement volunteer in the off-season and much of his work has been with domestic violence and child abuse cases.

It's estimated the funeral cost about $4,500.   Shaniya's father had set up a trust fund to help raise money to pay for it but now, that money will go to other charities working to help abused and neglected children.

Shaunie Wants to File 'Dem Papers

Shaunie O'Neal as had it uptohere with Shaq. She flew to LA and filed for legal separation. But, the whole thing could be about the money... read on!

TMZ reports Shaunie filed the legal papers Monday and she intends to file for divorce for "irreconcilable differences." Although the couple live in Florida, Shaunie reportedly yanked the kids out of their Florida school and moved them to LA with her. Now you know, in LA the wife tends to do quite well winning spousal support after the divorce. And Shaunie is asking for both spousal and child support.
