Whitney Houston has been forced to cancel tonight’s performance in Paris due to an illness. She reportedly has an upper respiratory crack infection which has forced her to postpone the first show of her European tour.

Her tour has been met with mixed reviews.  Some say she's getting back to fighting shape but others report her overall performances have been a little wonky.

Whitney Planning A Tour?

Whitty Hutton Whitney Houston graces the cover of the January InStyle magazine.  Looking good Ma!  Anyway, she told InStyle that she wants to go on tour. 

"That’s going to be an at-my-pace kind of thing because I like to do things the real way. I have a live band onstage. My background singers are for real. My vocals are for real. I limit the computerization. So my goal is to have people come to a show and say, ‘Wow.’ And it’s not like I’m going to be everywhere. It’s going to be like, ‘Here I am. Come on out and see me if you can."

She should just come "Kirk Franklin" the verses and she'd still sound better than half these R&B chickies out now.

Here's a look at Whitney Houston's performance on Dancing With The Stars last night.  I gave up watching this show way back when Lil Kim got booted so I never know who's dancing or who's sangin'... or in this case, Kirk Franklin'ing the verses.  Hey, I'm just sayin.  She looked good though! 

Can I ask... why Whitney's chin be sweatin' so much?  Ok, maybe I'd better not.

Whitney Houston married her ex-husband Bobby Brown to end speculation about her sexuality, according to her former partner.  Prior to her troubled marriage to the singer, rumors spread that Houston was in a relationship with her female assistant, Robin Crawford. Brown, who divorced Houston in 2007, claims the "I Will Always Love You" hitmaker wanted to get married and have children so the media would stop speculating about her sex life.

In his new tell-all book, "Bobby Brown: The Truth, the Whole Truth and Nothing But...," Brown writes, "(The marriage) was doomed from the very beginning... I think we got married for all the wrong reasons. Now, I realize Whitney had a different agenda than I did when we got married...I **believe her agenda was to clean up her image, while mine was to be loved and have children.

"The media was accusing her of having a bisexual relationship with her assistant, Robin Crawford. Since she was the American Sweetheart and all, that didn't go too well with her image...In Whitney's situation, the only solution was to get married and have kids. That would kill all speculation, whether it was true or not."

This is just semantics but is it bi-sexual or simply lesbun, when there is no peen involved? 

And seriously, I'd rather be the bride to KD Lang than EVER EVER EVER kiss this!

Whitney's Malfunction

Whitney Houston performed "Million Dollar Bill" on the UK's "X-Factor" program over the weekend.  And she looked and sounded pretty good by 2009's standards... until the strap of her dress popped off.

The Crackhead Credibility Challenge

You ever talk to someone who will always find any way to bring the conversation back to them? If you did a drive back on your ex's house. They did a drive by AND busted the windows out his PT Cruiser. If you met your favorite star, their mother's-hairdressers-therapist is best friends with a bigger star and they dine together on a daily basis....you know a "one-upper". Well that's sort of how I felt today watching the Wendy Williams show. Wendy popped off on Whitney for not completely "owing" her drug habit during her interview with Oprah. Wendy then tearful recapped her years of smoking that bin Laden and said Whitney came off like a bourgeois crackhead. Now that's an oxymoron if I ever heard one! Check it:

Calling it her best interview yet... Oprah leaked a bit of her 2-part interview with Whitney Houston. The interview will kick off Oprah's new season on Monday.

Houston told O that she didn't get out of her pajamas for 7 months during her drug-filled lows. While she doesn't blame ex-hubby Bobby Brown for her ills, she does say she tried to make herself "smaller to fit in a marriage so the man could be bigger."

Ultimately, it was her mother who said enough was enough.



Oprah says there's not a question that Whitney didn't answer.

My dvr is already set for Monday's Oprah, and there is also tissue by my bed cause I know Imma be crying and ish, I'm a big ole punk, especially when it's a comeback of this magnitude. She went from worldwide fame, to demanding a crack receipt and now she's returned from the depths of hell and rid herself of this:

My how far we've come from crack is wack to a full-fledged comeback. Whitney Houston strutted her stuff during a pre-taped concert this morning on Good Morning America.

Diane Sawyer told Houston that she was "worried" for her after that horrible interview 7 years ago where Whitney demanded somebody show the receipts for all that blow she allegedly bought.

But, ole Whitty says she's aight now! She said “My faith and the love and support of my family" got her through the tough times.
