Lil Wayne, Sports Blogger

Lil Wayne continues to have more jobs than I do. Weezy blogged from prison about the Philadelphia Eagles’ trading Donovan McNabb to the Washington Redskins. Peep his thoughts and let us know if you agree…

I think this will be a great thing for all involved, except the Eagles. One reason is because I don’t think Andy Reid was ready to part ways with the soon to be 34 year old veteran. He still had a year left on paper with the Eagles, And though I don’t think they would’ve given him an extension, for some reason I think Andy would’ve liked to see Donovan play it out. Although Reid put the word out that he was entertaining offers a few weeks ago to the coaches and GM’s. I don’t think he was the brains behind that move. i think this was above him. Another reason is because of where he eneded up. Why send him to Washington? Now he gets to play the eagles twice. I’m sure he has those days marked already. The other reason is the Eagles don’t have sufficient QB to fufill the role. I mean the 2nd round pick, Kevin Kolb, and Michael Vick doesn’t exactly fit the bill if you ask me. Philly is a hard place to play and an even harder place to play for. My sympathy gees out to Kolb and Vick, who will be expected to do nothing other than win.

Now McNabb is headed to the great QB coaching of Shanahan. This will be great! He’s still a prime QB, despite the fact that he hasn’t played a full season all but once in the last six. He’s a post season shoe in. I’m glad he didn’t end up with the Raiders. He wouldn’t have a shot! I’m calling this the craziest QB trade since Brett to the Vikings.

Get’em Donovan!

Congrads to Duke & Coach K, as well as UCONN women and gents. I think both of those guys need new day jobs. More complicated ones. NBA, WNBA!

My Top 5 NFL Draft Picks are:
1. Ndamukong Suh / Jimmy Clausen
2. Gerald McCoy
3. Eric Berry
4. Dez Bryant
5. Russel O Kung

I'ma let that "congrads" slide.  Go here to see more of Wayne’s thoughts from a jail cell.

Lil Wayne Has A Jailhouse Job?

Hold the phone. It seems Lil Wayne is keeping himself busy behind bars. Rikers is paying him to keep an eye out for other prisoners. Weezer’s bottom babymama, Toya, tells US magazine that "Wayne has a job — they got him on suicide watch for other prisoners. He watches the crazy prisoners and makes sure they don't kill the themselves. He likes the job even though they don't pay him much."

Anybody else annoyed your money is going to pay this cat?

And is he even qualified to do this? Don't you need some kinda shrink degree to do that?

Lil Wayne Is Universal?

Ok, I am really hoping this is a spoof. If not, then this is proof that our "entertainment" images spread like wildfire and we should be very careful about what we put out there. Good or bad, folks will emulate it. Check out this Nigerian version of Lil Wayne, who goes by the name 2Sure2Shizzy. This guy has that muddaf*gga, I’m drunk “swag” (hate that word, but it applies here) down to a science.

Oh boy!

They Got Wi-FI At Rikers?

Lil Wayne has a computer connection behind bars apparently. The Weezer penned a letter to his fans on a special website created just so he could thank them. Sidebar: if he’s blatantly blogging from jail and I have to sneak to do it when the bossman ain’t lookin’… then I'm doing something wrong.

Anyway, here’s part of the letter Weezy F. SomeInmateNamedDelicious’Baby sent to his fans.

During my prison stint, I want my fans to know I love you. I want all of you to know that I appreciate all the mail I get, and this is my way of saying thank you. The F is for Family, Friends, and Fans.

Love. Live. Life. Proceed. Progress. That’s who I am and who I’ll always be. You see, we’re all living on borrowed time, so I’m not worried about this situation. Life happens quick. The more time you spend contemplating what you should have done…you lose valuable time planning what you can and will do. Trying to tear down the past prohibits you from building up your future. So for my time here, my physical will be confined to the yard. My love and my spirit, however, know no boundaries.

I’m in good spirits man, for real. My kids race through my mind all day. They know they were created with love, so love is how their life will be defined. I just hope my love and adoration for them provides a temporary bandage on a wound I unknowingly inflicted on them.

Real soon, you can catch me blogging for ESPN again thank you espn for not letting my passion for sports perish. I work out a lot because it helps pass the time. I read the Bible everyday. Jail didn’t make me find God, He’s always been there. They can lock me up, but my spirit and my love can never be confined to prison walls.

Give me the patience that I need
To keep my piece of mind,
And with life’s cares, I hope, Dear God,
Some happiness to find.
Give me the courage to face life`s trials
and not to from troubles run.
let me keep this thought in mind.
“Thy Will,” not “Mine,” be done.
- “Pray”

T.I.’s New Teef?

Is there a special on jailhouse grills? I mean, Lil Wayne gets his yuckmouth fixed and now, T.I. reportedly got $50,000 of work done on his smile. I didn't think his teefus were that fugged to begin with, but hey, I sure ain’t mad at him. I always thought he was a cutie. I’d probably break him though, so I’ll just say he’s nice to look at.

Brew Bits: Lil Wayne Goes To Jail

Lil Wayne is finally off to jail today. He'll be in protective custody while he serves that long-awaited one year jail sentence on a gun charge. A judge asked if he wanted to make a statement but the Weezer said no.

Wayne did ask for special medical attention while in jail because of that yuck mouth condition.

By the way, here's Wayne's last, cryptic tweet.

Ah well... next.

Breaking Brew: Lil Wayne NOT Going To Jail Today

Well, so much for the "so long, Wayne" tweets, cards and gift baskets.  Lil Wayne won't be going to jail today as expected.  His sentencing for a 2007 gun charge in New York City was postponed again today, due to basement fire at the courthouse.

Lil Weezer was due to appear in court today and receive a one year sentence for a second degree gun possession charge that he plead guilty to last October.  Last month, he was able to get the sentencing delayed due to a jacked up grill piece.

No word yet just when he'll be shipped off to Rikers.

Yuck Mouth Case #78912: Lil Wayne

This is just some nasty shizz.

What kept Lil Wayne from going to jail this month wasn't just a minor cavity or diamond-in-the-toofus replacement.  Nah.  The lil guy goes big in every way...from babymamas to his grill.  Wayne had to get EIGHT root canals in one session!

He had the oral surgeries this Tuesday.  Sources say he had several tooth implants redone, more implants added and the "few real teeth he had left" were also repaired in addition to the root canals.

I'm going to brush, floss, use my ACT rinse and go kiss my dentist right now!

Yuck.

So, now there's a video for the Erykah Badu/Lil Wayne collabo, "Jump Up In The Air (Stay There)."

Um, is it me or does this look like one of those freaky kaleidoscope keychains with the picture inside that you used to get from Six Flags back in the day?  No... just me?

Eh, whatever works.

Brew Bits: Lil Wayne's Sentence Postponed

So all that partying was for nuthan...nuthan (© Bernie Mac). Looks like Octodad
won't be going to the clink until March 2nd now. The rapper was supposed to
start serving a year sentence for gun possession today. He showed up to
court with his lawyer and a cracked a tooth that must undergo
dental surgery first. I pity the dentist who has to work on that grill!
Here's video of Wayne leaving court.

Sayonara, Weezy

Say farewell and shed a tear or, say good riddance to Lil Wayne who begins serving his one year sentence for gun charges tomorrow. Wayne will be the latest guest of the Rikers Island facility, thanks to a 2007 gun possession incident.

MTV chopped it up with a prison guard, who says Wayne will get a lil special treatment, ya know… since he is a star-ah and all.
"Lil Wayne is gonna be OK. While he's in jail, it's a matter of fact they may not put him with the general population because of who he is and his popularity. They might lock him down and let him come out with a supervisor and stuff like that [when he's] in the main area — but he's definitely going to be treated differently."
-“Hip Hop cop” Derrick Parker
Wayne’s treatment in prison will be for his safety, but he [reportedly] won’t be pampered, and he’ll get to keep his dreads. Wayne could serve 10 months of the yearlong sentence, or he could do as little as 8 months if he behaves himself.

BTW, that image above is the cover for Wayne’s new mix-tape. Jesus complex much?

So, are you sad to see the Lil Weezer go?

Lil Wayne Drops A Bomb…

While Lil Wayne was addressing the media about his shock at being asked to join the “We Are The World” re-do, he decided to drop a lil bomb of his own by comparing Haiti’s crisis to the aftermath of Katrina.

Take a look.

So, what’s your call? Is he right to compare the two? Is this gonna start a shytstorm?

Brew Quotes: Lil Wayne

Lil Wayne was invited to the “We Are The World” remake party. The Impregnator doesn’t actually sing, unless you call that sizzurp-tinged, auto-tuned, raspy thing he does when he says he wants to boink every girl in the world actual “singing.” So anyway, The Weezer does have a soft heart in there somewhere. Here’s what he said after he learned he’d be recording the lines originally sung by Bob Dylan:
"I've never been involved in anything like this. My attitude coming out is I feel blessed and I feel like I've done something today, and that's always a good day. I was like, 'What am I doing here?' I was like, 'You guys are real good comedians.' After I did Bob Dylan's part, it kind of hit me that I guess this is way more important than I could ever imagine."
- Lil Wayne
Jesus be a fence and don’t let Jamie Foxx try to do Ray Charles’ part.

Here’s a peek at the making of the new “We Are The World.”

"We Are The World — 25 For Haiti" airs on NBC during the opening of the Winter Olympics on February 12th.
