Concert News: Monica To Tour With Trey & Melanie

Fresh off their respective tours with Jigga and Alicia Keys, Trey Songz and Melanie Fiona (did I mention I stan for them?) are hitting the road with Monica this summer. She made the announcement during an interview on Atlanta’s Fox station.

The tour kicks off in Argust August. Are you checkin’ for Monica’s tour.

Splitsville: Monica & Rocko

It’s a wrap for Monica and her fiancé/babydaddy Rocko. Monica talked about it on her Twitter page today and, naturally, the innawebs are buzzing about the cause for the breakup, citing cheating but really, who knows?!?  Monica and Rocko have two sons together.

Monica asks that people respect her privacy and she’s done talking about the break-up.

Is anyone else noticing that relationship troubles and break-ups always come to light when an album is about to drop? #justsayin

Anyway, best of luck to them raising their sons.

There was a time when swagger jackin’ was actually the thing to do. It’s like you were paying hommage to your idol, your girl or even your enemy. I remember during a high school picnic, I counted 15 Salt n’ Pepas at the amusement park! I admit I was part of that never ending crew who resembled a very dysfunctional flash mob but hey I was just a shorty. So what's Monica's excuse? Didn’t Rihanna break out thise bowl cut around Valentine day? Ri Ri is no trailblazer of century either. Many chicks were rocking this 'shroom do way back when. So what your call Brewchies?

Will You Watch?: BET's Haiti Concert

BET is getting in on the Haiti relief effort all late and whatnot.  The network plans to do a concert for Haiti next month, with Diddy, Queen Latifah and Pharrell on deck as hosts. 

The two hour concert/telethon, called "SOS Saving OurSelves — Help for Haiti," will be broadcast live from Miami and it'll mark Chris Brown's first "major" return to TV.

Wyclef Jean, Mary J. Blige, Drake, Robin Thicke, Monica and Lil Wayne are also scheduled to perform. Proceeds from the event will go to Yele Haiti, CARE and other charities.

"SOS Saving OurSelves — Help for Haiti" airs on BET, MTV, VH1 and Centric at 8 pm (ET) on February 5th.

Will You Watch? "Monica - Still Standing"

Hmmmm, okay I'm confused, in this lil promo trailer Monica draws us in with her stance that she's "still standing" I guess implying that life has dealt her an unfair deal, ok fine. But is there seriously 6 or 7 episodes worth of Monica "mama I wanna sang but I got these babies and a hair appointment that conflict with one another" story telling that would be that compelling??? I know there are a crapload of Monica stans who would disagree but something tells me no.......

Anyhoo, you watching? It premieres on October 27th on the Buffoon Network.....

When Your Career Tanks… Pierce Your Eye

Nothing screams “I’m searching for relevancy” quite like a piercing on the side of your face. Monica posed for new pics with famed ATL photographer Derek Blanks. Head over to Necole Bitchie for all of the images. Look closely and you'll see she’s got some random eye diamond in her face. (I blame Brandy!) And it turns out Carmelo’s eternal fiancée, LaLa, has one too.

So that got me wondering what the hell is an “eye diamond"? The technical term is dermal anchor piercing. If you’ve got a strong stomach…watch it being done.
