Finally, one of these new Brewchies openly channels Grace Jones… after years of these little hip hop starlets' biting Grace's androgyny-meets-lady style. Rihanna does it. Kelis did it a bit and Amber Rose surely does it. Well, for Kanye West’s revamp of his website, he posted this pic of Amber hitting the old school pose from Grace’s “Island Life” album cover.

Also, Kanye flipped the background design for his site from black to white. I don’t know if this means Kanye’s going for a kindler, gentler approach or what. But the pic is hot.

Taylor Swift Should Cut Kanye A Check

If you were out doing hood rat stuff last night, chances are you missed Taylor Swift on Saturday Night Live. Ole girl owes Kanye some serious scrilla. His MTV hissy fit single-handedly breathed the life of sweet baby White Jesus into her career. Without him, she'd still be that girl who got dumped by a Jo-Bro!

There's a sick internet rumor flying around that needs to be put to rest.

A fake “celebrity death” article hit the internet last night, claiming West was the victim of a bizarre car crash involving two luxury cars in Los Angeles.  The article is totally false but that didn't stop it from becoming a trending topic on Twitter.  And that really pissed off Amber Rose!  She said this on her Twitter page:

This RIPKanyeWest topic is not funny and its NOT TRUE! He has people like myself and his family that love him very much.  Its in extreme poor taste to have that as a trendy topic.  It’s totally disrespectful to make up a story like this where all human and we all make mistakes and to say someone died cuz of a mistake is ridiculous.  U wouldn’t want someone to say that about u.  Or someone u love it’s not funny.

Kanye West Drops New Book

Kanye West may be taking a hiatus from clowning at award shows, but don't sleep...he's never off his hustle.

West is preparing to release a new illustrated book called (what else?) "Through The Wire."  The book hits shelves next month. 

Kanye hooked up with Bill Plympton to put the book together.  It's a graphic memoir that illustrates the lyrics of twelve of Kanye's songs.  The book covers everything from his decision to drop out of college to the near-fatal car crash that shaped his life.

Brew News: Kanye Taking Hindu Break?

Word on the curb is Kanye West is taking a serious break from the industry after the country white girl dream killing MTV VMAs incident.

Sources say he's headed to a Hindu retreat. He's reportedly planning to spend a month at a Hindu ashram in Pondicherry, India.  While Kanye has a history of publicity making stunts, you'd have to wonder about how the death of his mother two hears ago is really affecting him.  This month, his tour with Lada Gaga was also put on ice, reportedly because of "creative differences" and/or low ticket sales.

Get it together Yeezy.  We kinda like your music around these parts!

Kanye West got mo' drama than all the Real Housewives... including table-flippin' Teresa!

Kanyizzle kirked out at a charity event over the weekend. Vibe.com reports Kanye wen't o-f-f at Common's benefit show at the Hollywood Palladium when he saw others eating chicken and he wasn't offered any. You know how ya'll Negroes like that yardbird.

After seeing someone chowing down on the chicken, 'Ye said:

"Why wasn't I offered chicken? You want me to perform for free, [and]
everyone is eating... why am I not eating?"

The waitress said Kanye never asked for food. Kanye clapped back: "Well, I'm asking now!"

Kanye took a bite of the chicken and tossed the rest in the trash. Maybe someone didn't wanna let him finish... I'm not even going there this week.

Sigh.

Taylor Swift: "Oh, Kanye West Is Here!"

This morning on The View, Taylor Swift made her first televised comments about the Kanye "I'mma let you finish" fiasco at the VMAs.



West called and gave Swift a personal apology after her appearance on The View. No one is talking about what 'Ye said to Swift, but she says "he was very sincere in his apology and I accepted that apology."

Swift is the first country artist to win a VMA and she's proven to be quite the classy young lady.

I'd still rather have my pubes "Brazilianed" by a weed wacker while rats pluck my eyelashes one-by-one than listen to her (or that Miley Cyrus) sing.
